New year. New toys. New company.

Some familiar faces land in a new place as Born to Play opens its doors in Montvale, New Jersey.

Led by industry veteran Daniel DeLapa, most recently President of Creative Kids, Born to Play looks to shake things up to “become a leader in the toy industry through never-before-seen product and video content.” To do that, the company tapped someone intimately familiar with the convergence of video and toys to serve as its Chief Content Officer and Partner: Blippi creator Stevin John.

“The Born To Play mission is to build community through product that inspires play, says Daniel DeLapa, CEO. “Our team will bring innovation and truly original IP to the global market.”

Born to Play will focus on creating toys across multiple categories paired with family-friendly video content that the company says will “provide endless fun for consumers of all ages.”

“I’m beyond excited to hit the ground running with Daniel and the team,” says CCO Stevin John. “By enhancing the connection between digital content and consumer product goods, we’re able to elevate the consumer experience and bring more value to retailers across the globe.”

Born to Play will exhibit its new product ranges at Spielwarenmesse and other trade shows this year.
