BoxLunch has announced a milestone 265 million meals donated through its partnership with Feeding America. The company celebrates its 10th anniversary this fall. Since opening in 2015, the retailer has grown to more than 280 stores and built its model on merging licensed pop culture products with philanthropic efforts.
“This milestone underscores our long-standing commitment to giving back and assisting local communities in their work to end hunger,” says Steve Vranes, CEO of BoxLunch. “We hope to continue to raise awareness about the important mission of Feeding America, and about the incredible work taking place at local food banks across the country.”
The company will mark Hunger Action Month in September with volunteer events at food banks in Los Angeles, Houston, and Orlando. October brings further celebrations, including the launch of a 10th anniversary Soot the Dragon collectible figure, created with Kaleidos Creative, which will help donate five meals per item sold. Fans in New York can also visit a 10th anniversary pop-up activation featuring exclusive merchandise and customization opportunities next month.
