Amazon MGM has locked in a package for a live-action film about MGA Entertainment‘s Bratz doll product line. Kim Kardashian and Picturestart are currently set to produce the film, with MGA’ Entertainment’s CEO, Isaac Larian, acting as executive producer. Lucy McKendrick and Charlie Polinger are slated to write the film’s script, and Kim Kardashian is being considered to play a villain role.
Kardashian has seen recent success on the producing and acting fronts, working on projects like the Netflix comedy The Fifth Wheel and the upcoming Hulu series All is Fair and Group Chat. Polinger and McKendrick have worked on recent projects together, like Polinger’s directorial and writing debut film, The Plague, and the upcoming film with A24 and Picturestart, The Masque of the Red Death.
While no plot details are currently known, given Bratz dolls’ popularity and social media presence, as well as the success of the Barbie movie in 2023, there are high hopes for another successful blockbuster.
