Mattel expands the Barbie brand with new content for the Barbie Dream Besties line. Consumers can expect an all-new YouTube animated special as well as products inspired by the series.
Barbie Dream Besties reimagines the Barbie brand for older girls ages 7 and up. The doll line and animated franchise encourages kids to live out their best dreams and emphasizes the importance of empowerment, friendship, and self-expression. The brand’s debut season won an audience honor in branded series at the 17th annual Shorty Awards and has more than 82.2 million views across all YouTube channels.
The narrative series debuts 10 episodes featuring new story arcs for the characters kids know and love. In Barbie Dream Besties, viewers will see Barbie Malibu’s rise as a makeup mogul, Barbie Brooklyn’s choreographer aspirations, Teresa’s tech triumphs, and Renee’s food blogging journey.
To celebrate the new animated special, Mattel is launching the Barbie Dream Besties Skate Park Doll Assortment. Encouraging kids to share their talents with the world, these dolls feature Barbie Malibu, Barbie Brooklyn, Teresa, and Renee with roller skates.
