For the first time ever, characters from Disney‘s The Lion King are available at Build-A-Bear Workshop.
Ahead of the July 19 release of Jon Favreau’s reimagination of the classic tale, kids can build furry friends from The Lion King, including Nala, Simba, Pumbaa, and Timon, along with young versions of Simba and Nala. The Lion King plush can be enhanced with sound chips featuring “Nants’ Ingonyama” (Circle of Life Chant) or “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King.”
The Lion King collection also includes an extensive line of clothing and accessories that will fit traditional Build-A-Bear furry friends.
Build-A-Bear Workship will also add new elements to its experiential retail model, with a special Lion King heart ceremony for kids who make their own Lion King furry friend. Kids will be invited to take a photo against a Lion King backdrop and take home a lion mane paper crown with activities, recipes, and more.
Stores will host The Lion King premiere events on weekends beginning July 19 with guest activities and giveaways.
