LearningExpressLogoPhyllis Brody, the co-founder of Creativity for Kids, will be speaking at Learning Express Toys’ annual convention on June 29 in San Antonio about the importance of childhood creativity.

Brody co-founded Creativity for Kids nearly 40 years ago and is an expert in childhood creativity. Her presentation, “Why Creativity Counts,” will inspire and educate franchisees about how creative activities develop lifelong skills and how they as toy store owners can promote and encourage creativity within their Learning Express Stores.

Franchise owners, managers, and Learning Express corporate staff will each receive a Creativity Can during Brody’s presentation so they may experience the power of hands-on creativity. The Creativity Can is a small can filled with thoughtfully chosen materials to inspire children to create.

Since 2013, Creativity for Kids has distributed more than 80,000 free Creativity Cans to toy stores, schools, museums, organizations, and charities as part of the company’s Creativity Comeback Movement, which is dedicated to promoting the importance of childhood creativity.

The Learning Express Convention includes such education opportunities for franchisees as workshops, roundtable discussions, and speakers. In addition, the annual event includes a vendor expo where Faber-Castell USA will exhibit. The Faber-Castell booth will feature 11 new craft activity kits from the Creativity for Kids brand and eight new art products under the Faber-Castell Premium Children’s Art Products line. Creativity for Kids will also unveil two exclusive products for Learning Express Toys: Winter Terrarium and Flower Fleece Pillow.
