Curio is hopping on the artificial intelligence (AI) toy train, with new plush offerings that can hold full conversations.
Curio, a new technology toy brand, is launching three plush AI products in partnership with Canadian artist Grimes as the voice of one of the AI characters as well as an investor and advisor. The brand aims to give kids tech toys that don’t require screen time. The initial launch includes the characters Grok, Gabbo, and Grem.
Each of the new plush contains a Curio Voice Box with a cloud-connected processor, a lithium-ion battery, a speaker, and a microphone. Grok is a rocket voiced by Canadian singer Grimes who has tons of space facts at the ready. Gabbo is a plush robot ready to talk tech. Finally, Grem is a little creature who loves questions about the magic of nature. The plush toys include an adapter, a cable, and collectible stickers.
Curio promises safe and secure AI technology for its toys. The toys run on Curio’s own operating system, offering G-rated content, anonymity, and privacy.
The new AI plush toys are available for preorder now for $99 on the Curio online store. For more information about the toys and the technology behind them, visit Curio’s website. The company plans to introduce more characters in the future following the launch of the first three.
