The LEGO Group and Daft Punk are teaming up for a new partnership spanning products, content, and brand experiences, bringing the electronic music duo’s signature robot personas into the LEGO universe.

The collaboration kicks off with the announcement that a fan-designed LEGO Ideas Daft Punk Concert set, inspired by the duo’s 2007 Alive tour, will move into development. The design recreates Daft Punk’s pyramid stage and originated as a father-and-son project by Luxembourg-based creator Patrick Harboun.

“The pyramid stage is one of the most recognizable expressions of Daft Punk’s visual world,” explains Cédric Hervet, Creative Director for Daft Punk. “So it feels fitting that this fan-created design will be the center stage of this partnership. Fans have always played an important part in Daft Punk’s story, and we are excited to see that creativity reflected through the LEGO universe.”

The submission previously won the LEGO Ideas Music to Our Ears challenge in 2020, before reaching 10,000 supporters on the platform. The fan concept will be developed into an official LEGO set, with the final product design yet to be revealed.

“Watching our passion project become part of an official collaboration is an incredible experience,” says Harboun. “It’s a reminder of what makes the LEGO Ideas community so special. That a simple idea, shared by fans, really can become something much bigger.”

To introduce the partnership, LEGO and Daft Punk released a short film featuring minifigure versions of the duo as they follow a holographic red LEGO brick through a mysterious landscape. As they enter the “gates of play,” a brick-built environment unfolds around them before the robots take their places behind a LEGO console. The film features Daft Punk’s “Voyager” from the 2001 album Discovery and “Human After All” from the duo’s 2005 album of the same name.

The announcement follows a teaser released Oct. 21 on Daft Punk — WDPK 83.7, which featured a red 2×4 LEGO brick hinting at the upcoming collaboration.

“What makes this partnership so special is the enduring appeal both brands share. Like the LEGO brand, Daft Punk inspires generations through creativity, innovation, and a deep connection with fans, shares Julia Goldin, Chief Product & Marketing Officer at The LEGO Group. “We’re excited to build on these foundations to reimagine the Daft Punk legacy in a fresh and unexpected way, creating something unique that resonates with fans across all ages. This is just the beginning of a bigger journey — a creative collab made for fans ready to lose themselves to play.“

Beyond the LEGO Ideas set, the partnership will include additional content and events connecting music, culture, and creative play. The companies plan to share more details in 2027.
