There is some big news arriving as ASTRA Marketplace & Academy kicks off in St. Louis today!
Diverse Companies, known for its portfolio of rep groups and services including Diverse Marketing, has acquired KidStuff PR, a public relations firm in the toy and gifts industry.
Under the new partnership, key members of KidStuff PR are taking on new roles as the five-year-old Diverse Insights division joins media operations under a newly formed, Dallas-based company, KidStuff Public Relations LLC. KidStuff Founder Lisa Orman will lead the organization as President while Creative Director Matt Sweeny has been elevated to Vice President and will add client management and business development to the mix. Marsha Peltz, a Senior Associate at KidStuff PR for more than 25 years, is promoted to Associate Vice President and will continue to be the agency’s main press release and copywriter. They will work across three different time zones, with Orman in California, Sweeny in Wisconsin, and Peltz in the Washington, DC area.
The partnership will provide a full menu of coordinated marketing services in one place. Orman will offer regular education sessions and webinars about PR and media trends to Diverse Marketing clients.
My dad and I have known Lisa for a long time and we admire and respect the business she has built and the reputation she has. The leadership and mentoring she brings to Diverse Insights will be invaluable and facilitate growth in the division, and our resources will provide the support for KidStuff PR to grow and offer complementary services to its existing menu of services. I am honored to be associated with Lisa and her expertise.
“I’m grateful to Wes that he sees and appreciates our value and I agree with him wholeheartedly that our combined expertise and commitment to the industry embodies ‘Together we are better,’ the company motto that he lives every day,” says Orman. “His commitment to investing in my team and the complementary resources of our marketing teams means added stability for my agency and ensures future growth. We are a small team and there are only so many hours in a day to service our clients and I am delighted that the expansion will alleviate those pressure points and enhance what we can offer our clients.”
Diverse Marketing’s new Los Angeles showroom will be open for the LA Fall Toy Previews in September and Orman will be in attendance to provide insight to clients throughout the month.
