Dora the Explorer is celebrating 25 years of being a hit bilingual children’s show and franchise, and Paramount’s Consumer Products is capitalizing on its success with licensing deals with a wide variety of large brands. Dora the Explorer premiered on Nickelodeon in 2000. A rebooted series, Dora, premiered on the network last year and streams on Paramount+.
Spin Master has released previews of its Dora the Explorer product line, coming later this year.
Spin Master’s line will arrive in the fall. One of the standout toys consumers can expect is the Explore & Play Rainforest Casita. At $49.99, this playset brings seven play areas to life. It includes Dora and Boots, and eight other figures to play in an adorable rainforest house. The immersive set has interactive features like a slide and a tree swing.
Dance With Me Dora, which will cost $49.99, is a 12-inch active doll that allows kids to learn new dance moves and stay active. The doll plays bilingual songs and phrases from the show, and even comes with an outfit change.
My Adventure Backpack looks just like Dora’s friend’s Backpack. It even has a moving mouth and eyes, and actually stores its included belongings. It comes with a tractable map, binoculars, and a compass and costs $24.99.
With limited information available, there are other Dora the Explorer toys to look forward to, including releases from Funko, Jazwares, and KiDDesigns.
Paramount Consumer Products has joined other companies to expand licensing beyond toys, including brands like Bioworld, Trevco, and Good2Grow. This allows consumers to embrace the Dora brand in many ways, through apparel, accessories, crafts, celebrations, packaged goods, footwear, gaming, bedding, decor, and location-based experiences. This summer Paramount launches a national partnership with Rainforest Café, known for its immersive, jungle-themed dining experience.
