Entertainment One (eOne)‘s Ricky Zoom is picking up speed in Canada this fall.
The new animated preschool property Ricky Zoom will air in Canada on Corus Entertainment’s Treehouse, joining a list of international broadcasters that will launch the first season on Oct. 5. This follows recent news that Nickelodeon has acquired the broadcast rights to Ricky Zoom in the U.S. Nelvana has also been appointed as the licensing agent for the region across all categories.
“eOne has an unparalleled track record of award-winning preschool properties which is why we’re revved up to add Ricky Zoom to the Treehouse schedule and deliver another soon-to-be family favorite to Canadian audiences,” says Daniel Eves, senior vice president of TV networks for Corus Entertainment. “Kids will love this vibrant, action-packed series, and parents will love how it is rooted in story-telling and relatable lessons about growing up and helping others.”
Global FTA, PAYTV, and video-on-demand (VOD) platforms are gearing up at the starting line to debut eOne’s latest preschool property across multiple territories, including Nickelodeon (U.S.), Nick Jr. and Channel 5’s Milkshake (the UK), Super RTL (Germany), Clan TV (Spain), Gulli (France), RAI (Italy), Youku (China), Discovery Kids (Latin America), Karusel (Russia), Minika Cocuk (Turkey), Spacetoon (MENA), with further deals in the pipeline.
