Ricky Zoom just kicked into high gear for its launch in the U.S.
The latest animated preschool property from Entertainment One (eOne) will debut on Nickelodon on Sept. 9. With the addition of Nick for the U.S. market, the new series from the producers of PJ Masks is poised for a strong global launch, with with Super RTL (Germany), Clan TV (Spain), and Youku (China), Gulli (France), RAI (Italy), and Discovery Kids (Latin America) having all inked broadcast distribution deals.
“The U.S. will play a key role in the rollout of Ricky Zoom around the world,” says eOne’s Monica Candiani, executive vice president of international content sales, family, and brands. “Securing a broadcaster of this caliber in this crucial market is a reflection of the high quality animation and storytelling that people have come to expect from an eOne show and we’re delighted to strengthen our long-standing relationship with Nickelodeon.”
TOMY International is the global master toy partner for the series, with plans to release a full toy line in select markets next spring. Additionally, eOne plans a full global consumer products program to support the series, and is prepping the brand’s first offical app: Ricky Zoom: Welcome to Wheelford.
