Falcon’s Beyond, the global entertainment company known for its intellectual property (IP) expansion, has entered into a partnership with Moonbug Entertainment to bring CoComelon, Blippi, and its other kid-friendly IPs into immersive experiences.
Falcon’s Beyond plans to create interactive entertainment experiences for fans at Curiosity Playground, a kid-focused destination that will deliver hands-on activations for the whole family. The entertainment venue will be held in Falcon’s Central, a forthcoming retail, dining, and entertainment complex.
Curiosity Playground will offer guests four portals full of attractions related to science, technology, arts, and nature. Other IPs entering the complex include PBS Kids’ Dinosaur Train, Odd Squad, Wild Kratts, and Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum.
Additionally, Falcon’s Beyond is partnering with Melia Hotels International to create Curiosity Playground Kids Camps, a resort location that will also feature popular IPs from Moonbug Entertainment. Curiosity Playground will release co-branded merchandise for CoComelon and Blippi, which is also currently in development.
“Moonbug’s roster of IPs includes many of today’s most popular children’s properties and we are fortunate to have the opportunity to help bring them to life through our IP Expander flywheel,” says Cecil D. Magpuri, CEO of Falcon’s Beyond. “Curiosity Playground offers kids and families a place to let curious minds roam free in a safe and stimulating environment populated by the characters and brands they love.”
The first Curiosity Playground will open in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic this fall, which will be one of four venues featuring proprietary and partner IPs from Falcon’s Beyond. The company also plans to expand Curiosity Playground to other locations in the future.
