LEGO announced its newest edition to the LEGO Technic line designed for advanced builders: the Ferrari 488 GTE AF Corse No. 51
Modeled after the award-winning race car, the LEGO Technic version mirrors the Ferrari’s unmistakable features in a 19-inch model. These key authentic features include front and rear suspension, aerodynamic curves, a V8 engine with moving pistons, and the iconic prancing horse right on the steering wheel. With a mirroring paint job, racing number, and sponsor stickers, this model is ready for the race track.
This set aimed at expert builders ages 18 and up includes 1,677 LEGO Technic elements designed to be displayed after completion.
LEGO Technic designer Lars Krogh Jenssen spoke about the opportunity to build this impressive model saying “This model captures the sophisticated silhouettes of the iconic car while paying homage to its engineering powers to capture the true essence of the 488 GTE.”
The LEGO Technic Ferrari 488 GTE “AF Corse No. 51” will be available starting Jan. 1, 2021, on lego.com.
