Following the creation of its Global Franchise Management Group, Mattel hired Frederic Soulie as senior vice president, content distribution and business development. He will oversee Mattel’s approach to strategic content distribution globally, across all platforms and geographies. He will report to Janet Hsu, chief franchise management officer.
Frederic most recently oversaw global distribution and consumer products at Saban Brands in which he led the distribution and strategic placement of multiple brands, including the Power Rangers franchise. Prior to that, he managed digital distribution strategies at Endemol.
Earlier in his career, Frederic held roles with DIC Entertainment/Cookie Jar Entertainment and was instrumental in supplying top electronic retailers with one of the largest children’s programming libraries. He also served as a member of the executive team at Intermix Media/MySpace.
