Funko is expanding internationally.
The pop culture and lifestyle brand appointed Michael Hyde as senior vice president and managing director of Funko Far East. In this position, Hyde will focus on supply chain management, logistics, quality assurance, sourcing, direct ship, and will work with the product team and Asia sales team to enhance Funko’s operations throughout Asia.
Prior to his new role, Hyde was at The Character Group for 17 years managing operations in the Far East. He started in the toy industry in brand management, marketing, and product development at Mattel, and now serves on the Board of Governors of ICTI Ethical Toy Program.
Hyde will be based in Hong Kong and Dongguan, China, and will report directly to Andrew Perlmutter, CEO of Funko.
