Funmaker is entering the convention scene this summer with the launch of Rokimoto, a new brand inspired by Japanese pop culture. The company will debut the brand at Anime Expo 2025, with a booth located in West Hall at booth No. 2850 and a lineup of collectibles, accessories, apparel, and immersive experiences.
The booth will operate from July 3-6 and include interactive vending machines, photo opportunities, costumed characters, and merchandise themed around original Rokimoto characters, as well as licensed properties to be announced closer to the show.

The centerpiece of Funmaker’s programming is a panel and live entertainment experience called Rokimoto Slurprise, hosted by Funmaker founder Mike Becker at The Novo Theater on Friday, July 4. The event will feature a performance by AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys, who also serves as Funmaker’s chief design officer. The show will debut McLean’s original character, Yuki, with exclusive figures available only to attendees. Additional reveals include a new animated short and new licensed brand announcements.
“I’m honored to be part of our kickoff show and can’t wait to help launch the brand, perform for the fans, and introduce my character, Yuki, to the world,” says AJ McLean. “Funmaker and Rokimoto are one-of-a-kind and truly dedicated to spreading positivity through humor, imagination, friendship, and inspiration.”

The Rokimoto brand is designed to support multi-category consumer products through both original and licensed IP, targeting collectors and young adult fans of anime, gaming, and pop culture. The brand’s first major activation at Anime Expo will serve as a platform for future launches in physical retail and direct-to-consumer spaces.
