Guru Studio is expanding its sales team as its original intellectual property (IP) library and third-party acquisitions continue to grow.
Jennifer Oppenheimer joins the sales team as International Sales and Licensing Manager. Oppenheimer previously managed content partnerships for Asia Pacific, U.S. Digital, and Global Home Entertainment at WildBrain. Now, she will manage content and licensing sales for Guru Studio’s properties, including True and the Rainbow Kingdom, Big Blue, Pikwik Pack, and the recently acquired 123 Number Squad. She will also lead global sales in Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, and global advertising-based video on demand.
“Jennifer’s wealth of knowledge and broad international sales experience is going to be a tremendous asset to our team,” says Corey Caplan, Senior Director of International Sales. “She’s already hit the ground running ahead of what will be a busy and exciting Kidscreen Summit.”
Guru Studio’s slate of new original IP and acquisitions includes the educational comedy series Scoops, which is developed with TIME Studios, and the serialized action-adventure series Ora Chronicles, which is co-produced by ADK Emotions.
Creative executive Dave Padbury is also expanding his purview to oversee Guru Studio’s expanding library of original IP and develop new creative partnerships and co-productions.
