Hasbro launched a new line of collectibles, BotBots, inspired by the Transformers franchise.

The bots’ backstory is that mist filled with Energon, a type of Transformers energy, filled a shopping mall and brought all of the objects inside to life as Transformers robots.

The first series includes 61 different 1-inch characters. Each changes from an ordinary object into a small robot in three to five steps.

The BotBots belong to different tribes, including the “Sugar Shocks” (sweet treats), the “Backpack Bunch” (school equipment), the “Toilet Troop” (bathroom items), the “Techie Team” (electronic gadgets), the “Greaser Gang” (fast food), the “Shed Heads” (gardening gear), and the “Jock Squad” (sporting goods).

The first series of BotBots will be available in major retailers this winter.
