Recyclings, the recycled collectible toy from Headstart International, has repurposed more than 4 million bottle caps in the few months since its launch. Headstart International anticipates that by the end of this year, more than 30 million bottle caps will have been repurposed.
Aimed at kids ages 5-10, there are more than 90 Recyclings characters to collect in its first season, including Dumplings, Dragons, Hotdogs, Handbags, Popcorn, and Pandas. Limited-edition Recyclings include Glittery Shooting Star, Golden Treasure Chest, and Glowing Ghost. Each Recycling toy also doubles as a pencil topper.
“As a company we are excited to launch the world’s first recycled collectible toy made from recycled plastic,” says Headstart International CEO Andrew Hendy. “Each Recycling character is made from 70% recycled plastic which is helping our footprint on the planet.”

According to Headstart International, each Recycling saves five bottle caps from landfill. In addition to using 70% recycled plastic in the figurines, the company also makes an effort to ensure that all packaging is either recycled, recyclable, reusable, or a combination of all three.
The collection is available for purchase right now in Australia, the U.S., the U.K., and Canada, through Headstart International’s website.
