Amazon Prime series Invincible has inspired a new strategy board game from Skybound Tabletop and Dire Wolf.
The Invincible series, as well as the comic series it’s based on, is known for its fresh take on the superhero genre. The series has seen success since its debut in 2021, and has a third season currently in production. Now, the series has a tabletop game on the way.
In Invincible: The Hero-Building Game, players take on the roles of Invincible, Atom Eve, Rex Splode, and Robot in a cooperative board game experience of unlocking powers to defeat villains. The game includes a free-form battle system with seven replayable episodes. The Guardians of the Globe have been defeated, so it’s up to a team of teenage superheroes to save the day.
Previous Dire Wolf tabletop offerings include Dune: Imperium. The game and its many expansions combine deck-building and other strategy elements with the rich world of Frank Herbert’s Dune book series.
The new Invincible: The Hero-Building Game is available for preorder now on the Dire Wolf online store. The game will also launch in local game stores on July 11.
