A toy industry veteran has returned to where his career began.
Jeff Pinsker rejoined University Games on Oct. 1 in the newly created role of executive vice president. He most recently served as president at Mondo, where he led the company through its sale to Funko. Pinsker began his toy industry career as a product manager at University Games in 1991. During his nine-year run at the company, he moved up through the ranks to become marketing manager, general manager, and then president of the company.
“For nine years I worked alongside Jeff and tried to teach him what I had learned. Now he returns to University Games and I expect to be the student learning from him,” says University Games Co-Founder Bob Moog.
“My goal is to reinvest myself in University Games and help the current team build a stronger global company,” Pinsker says. “I plan to help Bob and the team any way I can.”
Following his departure from University Games, Pinsker held roles at Scholastic’s Klutz division, Spin Master, Goliath, and Amigo Games. He is a recipient of the lifetime achievement award from the American Specialty Toy Retailing Association (ASTRA) and has served the industry by sitting on the boards of both ASTRA and the Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA).
