Licensing Expo — the world’s largest licensing trade show — is shaping up to be one of the most exciting, toy-centric trade shows in years.
The event returns to the Las Vegas Strip from May 24-26, 2022 when the Global Licensing Group and Licensing International open the doors and reunite the licensing community at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center (MBCC) following a two-year, pandemic-fueled hiatus.
This week, another raft of exhibitors have joined the party, including Sesame Workshop, Genius Brands International, Moonbug Entertainment, Riot Games, Amazon Studios, and Netflix alongside MLB Players, The Coca-Cola Co., La Panaderia, United Talent Agency, and others.
“Brand extension as a strategic marketing and revenue-driving tool is taking off across nearly every category — an exciting trend that will be reflected on our show floor in May,” says Anna Knight, senior vice president of the Global Licensing Group. “We are seeing an incredible variety of brands from every category: sports to gaming, entertainment to fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) showcased this year. This is the real strength of Licensing Expo as there is nowhere else you can see such a wide variety of brands available for license under one roof.”
New and notable registrants include Build-A-Bear Workshop, Jakks Pacific, Rubies Costumes, Amazon, Kohl’s, Hallmark, Hot Topic, and others.
In the new Toy Café at Licensing Expo, Hasbro, Jazwares, Mattel, MGA Entertainment, Spin Master, Brand Activation Consulting, and WildBrain CPLG will show off new products and licensing opportunities.
More than 230 exhibitors are booked for the event. Other toy industry players setting up shop include ADK Emotions NY (Beyblade), Crayola, Funko, LEGO, NECA, Paramount, The Pokémon Co. International, Sanrio, SEGA of America, Spin Master, Warner Bros., WHP Global (Toys “R” Us), WWE, and many others.
