The Karma’s World dolls are finally here.
After announcing the collection back in February, Mattel launched its newest collaboration, the Karma’s World doll collection, at the Toy Insider‘s Sweet Suite event last week. From 9 Story Media Group and Karma’s World Entertainment — a company started by rapper Ludacris — Karma’s World is an animated series on Netflix that tells the coming-of-age story of Karma Grant, an aspiring rapper. This doll collection is based on the series and features characters from the show.
“Fashion plays a huge part in Karma’s World; it’s one of the many ways that Karma and her friends express themselves,” says Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, creator and executive producer of Karma’s World. “When designing these pieces, it was important for us to partner with creatives who share our commitment to diversity.”
The Karma’s World doll and accessories collection includes various designs by students in the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) DTech Lab that sport a variety of trendy looks. The initiative aims to solidify a shared commitment to social equity within the creative industries for the black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) community, launching in tandem with the Social Justice Center at FIT.
The Karma’s World doll and accessories line is currently available at Target, Amazon, Walmart, and other major retailers.
