Mattel has promoted PJ Lewis to Senior Vice President, Global Head of Action Figures and Fisher-Price Entertainment. In this expanded role, Lewis will report to Lisa McKnight, Mattel’s Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officer. Lewis’ position as Executive Lead for Action Figures and Fisher-Price Entertainment will include the management of Plush, Action Figures, and Preschool Entertainment such as Barney and Imaginext.
Prior to this promotion, Lewis spearheaded several initiatives and capabilities at Mattel over the past 18 years. This includes leading the Games category team in the North American marketing organization and Corporate Development. During Lewis’ career at Mattel, he created the strategy for several consumer products franchises. He led the Monster High global franchises from $400 million to more than $1 billion in retail sales and foraged industry partnerships with companies like Disney-Pixar, Universal, WWE, and more.
While at Mattel, Lewis also spearheaded the global Plush and Action Figure portfolios, including products from Jurassic World and Masters of the Universe, and helped drive the action figure business to a record high in 2022. Lewis was also responsible for several firsts at Mattel, including winning the licenses to launch businesses on Minecraft and WWE, as well as the rights to the launch of the No. 1 Plush release in Mattel history, Grogu “Baby Yoda,” on behalf of Lucasfilm.

Lewis is a board member of the Mattel Children’s Foundation and represents Mattel on the Corporate Partnerships Council of Save the Children. Before joining Mattel, Lewis worked in the Strategic Planning group for Fox Film Entertainment.
