Morphle

Thinkway Toys inked a deal with Moonbug Entertainment to become the master toy partner for the preschool series Morphle.

Launched on YouTube in 2011, Morphle is a magical red creature who goes on adventures with his friend Mila. Popular among kids ages 2-5, the 180 episodes are distributed in six different languages, and the story-led series encourages curiosity, imagination, and kindness. The series is now available on over-the-top (OTT) streaming platforms and services including Netflix, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and more. It is estimated that nearly 20 million households viewed at least one episode of Morphle in the fourth quarter of last year.

“This is a really important moment in Morphle and Moonbug,” says Renè Rechtman, CEO and co-founder of Moonbug Entertainment. “Collaborating with a great partner like Thinkway to ‘morph’ the magic of the series into imaginative new toy lines is sure to delight our young fans, and further champion the success of digital-first entertainment franchises.”

Known for breaking into the toy industry with a line of toys based on Disney•Pixar’s Toy Story in 1995, Thinkway Toys looks for potential trends to develop early on.

“The stats speak for themselves,” says Albert Chan, CEO of Thinkway Toys. “We are onto something big with Morphle and are looking forward to doing some really cool stuff with Moonbug — the future for this magical red creature is looking bright.”
