Moose Toys is making a major move in the games category with the appointment of Ben Krenz as Global General Manager of its Games Division, effective July 14. Krenz joins Moose following more than a decade at Target, where he most recently led the Boys’ Toys business — including games — and previously headed up the retailer’s Games and Puzzles team.
Krenz brings extensive commercial leadership experience and a strong track record of building high-performing portfolios within the toy and game categories. His appointment comes as Moose continues to expand its global games business, which has reached $100 million in just three years.
“Ben’s experience, insight, and love of games make him a fantastic addition to the Moose team,” says Joost Poulus, Chief Product Officer at Moose Toys. “He knows how to build high-performing portfolios and understands what resonates with consumers. Moose launched its Games Division in 2022 and has since scaled rapidly, driven by licensing partnerships, strategic acquisitions, and the company’s signature innovation. The division’s growth builds on Moose’s reputation for developing hit properties like Magic Mixies, Little Live Pets, and Shopkins.
Krenz steps into the role following the departure of David Norman, who was instrumental in establishing the Games Division and leaves behind a strong foundation for continued growth. “I also want to thank David Norman for his outstanding contribution in building the division over the past few years — he leaves behind a strong foundation,” says Poulus.
