It’s taken a while, but the Beat Bugs are finally going on tour. Plans to bring the Netflix original series to the stage first surfaced in fall 2017, but now series creator Josh Wakely’s Grace: a storytelling company has teamed up with Round Room to get the show on the road for a live tour set to begin in spring 2020.
Beat Bugs Live! will follow Jay, Crick, Kumi, Walter, and Buzz as they adventure together, overcoming challenges and learning valuable life lessons with the help of one another and those they meet along the way. Just like in the series, the stage production will weave iconic songs made famous by The Beatles into the narrative, including “Come Together,” “Hey Jude,” “Here Comes the Sun,” “Blackbird,” and “All You Need is Love.”
Round Room was launched in 2016 and acquired last year by eOne. Previous productions included PJ Masks Live! and Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.
