Though plastic packaging still dominates most of the toy industry’s offerings, there has been an industry-wide ramp-up in eco-conscious toys. Playper, a brand bringing innovative materials to its forefront, has created an eco-friendly product line featuring four playsets.
Playper manufactures playsets and games that utilize Playboard, a plastic-free, 100% recyclable material with soy-based ink. It is essentially a cardboard-based material with a velvety texture that’s biodegradable. Â

There are currently four offerings in the Playper collection, designed for kids ages 3 and up. The Curious Kingdom: Castle Playset ($34.99) features characters Princess Petunia and King Ketchup, while the Curious Kingdom: Dragon Trainer Playset ($14.99) incorporates knights and Snuffles the Dragon. The third offering is the Curious Kingdom: Story Starters card set ($14.99), a make-your-own-rules game filled with person, place, and thing cards. Lastly, kids can build a working catapult to launch little gnomes with the Curious Kingdom: Gnome Catapult Playset ($24.99). The sets all fold in STEAM elements as well, introducing physics concepts with the pop-and-play building style.Â
The playsets are all available now at playper.com.
