PMI Kids’ World is adding another license to its growing portfolio.
Sony Pictures Television — Kids (formerly Silvergate Media) tapped PMI to serve as its global master toy partner for the animated detective series, The Creature Cases. Chapter 3 of the series launched on Netflix last month where it quickly cracked the top three kids’ programs in the U.S., the UK, France, and other markets.
“We’re honored to be working with Sony Pictures Television — Kids to help kick off its global licensing adventure, bringing our favorite characters and the dynamic world of The Creature Cases to life,” says Omer Dekel, Chief Operating Officer at PMI Kid’s World. “We’ve been bringing toys from the screen to the playroom for more than 25 years and are so excited to bring the first range of The Creature Cases toys to fans of the show beginning next year.”
According to Dekel, The Creature Cases-inspired toy line will include figures, playsets, and plush that will begin rolling out across multiple territories in 2024. The line marks PMI’s first master toy deal in the preschool category following success as a licensee for properties, including Spin Master’s PAW Patrol and Hasbro/eOne’s Peppa Pig.
“[PMI’s] creativity is combined with an agile approach that makes them the perfect partner for this brand and we’re excited to be working with them to bring the first toyline to fans around the world,” says Ron Allen, Executive Vice President Commercial, Sony Pictures Television — Kids. “The series has a great cast of animal characters and dynamic vehicles to inspire a compelling range of toys and we’re confident that with PMI’s expertise, the toy line will capture the imagination of fans next year.”
PMI Kids’ World has grown in the global marketplace over the past few years with toy lines inspired by gaming properties, including Among Us, Gang Beasts, and most recently, SEGA’s Sonic Prime. The company recently launched a toy line inspired by the Pudgy Penguins NFT brand and will soon debut a full range of products based on Tokido’s Piñata Smashlings.
