Retro-bit, Sega, Limited Run Games Partner to ‘Game Pink’

Retro-bit Game Pink

A trio of gaming companies is teaming up in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Retro-bitSega, and Limited Run Games are encouraging retro gaming enthusiasts to “Game Pink” with the purchase of limited-edition clear pink controllers. And 10% of proceeds from every pink Sega Genesis or Sega Saturn controller sold will benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation in an effort to support its mission of providing and inspiring hope to those affected by breast cancer through early detections, education, and support services. In the U.S., 1-in-8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, and although rare, 1-in-1,000 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer as well.

The original port controllers will be compatible with the original Sega Genesis and Sega Saturn hardware, respectively. USB port versions are compatible with PC, Mac, Steam, PS3, Nintendo Switch, and the recently released Sega Genesis Mini.

Preorders will be open from Oct. 18-31, while supplies last. Only 2,000 of each controller will be produced, with no limit set on purchases. Delivery is expected next month.
