Rocket Licensing will build and manage a consumer products program for the animated series Kiri and Lou in the UK.

The stop-motion series about two prehistoric creatures is expanding globally with daily airings in New Zealand, Australia, Canada, and the UK. Created by writer, director, and musician Harry Sinclair, Kiri and Lou features original songs co-written by Don McGlashan. Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords, Moana) voices Lou.

“Kiri and Lou bring something completely fresh to the preschool sector,” says Charlie Donaldson, joint managing director at Rocket Licensing. “The animation employs a traditional stop motion animation technique, which brings not only a different look, but a different pace to the screen and enables fully developed characters, environment, and stories.”

Rocket is seeking potential partners for toys and games, stationery, publishing, housewares, apparel, accessories, food and drink, and more.

Cake is handling international TV distribution for Kiri and Lou’s continued global rollout.
