The ‘Blue Blur’ is spinning into the wheeled goods category thanks to a partnership between Sakar International and Sega.
As part of Sonic the Hedgehog’s 30th anniversary, the new deal will bring hoverboards, scooters, four-wheel ride-ons, and both manual and electric skateboards and scooters. Each will be themed after the beloved character. There will also be helmets and other protective gear available to keep kids safe while riding.
“Sonic is one of the most iconic gaming franchises and we’re excited to bring these products to an entirely new generation of fans,” says Ralph Sasson, COO at Sakar.

Sakar will also produce a variety of other Sonic-inspired products. Kids will be able to purchase video game accessories, as well as youth electronics including speakers, headsets, keyboards, charging stations, gaming furniture, walkie-talkies, telescopes, binoculars, role-play electronic kits, wearable VR goggles, alarm clock radios, microphones, karaoke machines, and more.
These items will be racing into Walmart and other major retailers in the U.S. in time for the holiday season.
