The team at Spielwarenmesse eG swapped its desks and screens for toolboxes and paintbrushes.
The international trade fair organizer participated in Corporate Volunteering Day once again in Nuremberg, Germany on July 5. The program invites companies based in Nuremberg to engage in a variety of projects, designed to benefit institutions that may not have the resources to implement these projects themselves.
As part of a voluntary and self-imposed duty of corporate social responsibility, the team from Spielwarenmesse eG gave the fence at the Haus für Kinder nursery a facelift. The nursery school provides educational care for up to 140 kids, who also enjoyed the event. The site had previously been surrounded by a simple metal fence, but the team swapped it out for colored wooden fence panels to give it a friendlier feel.
“The Board is very happy to support our team’s voluntary involvement,” says Christian Ulrich, spokesperson of the executive board, Spielwarenmesse eG. “Being able to accomplish something together is a great thing. With this work effort, help goes directly to where it’s needed.”
Spielwarenmesse eG will welcome the toy industry back to Nuremberg for the International Toy Fair, set to take place from Feb. 1-5 2023.
