Universal Products & Experiences (UP&E) is celebrating some big milestones for DreamWorks Animation’s Gabby’s Dollhouse.
Over the past two years, the brand has grown to become a preschool juggernaut with global expansion across multiple categories. Now, UP&E is gearing up for Licensing Expo with more consumer products deals set to roll out this year following the success of Spin Master’s Gabby’s Dollhouse toy line.
The master toy licensee for the property has sold one million of its Gabby’s Purrfect Dollhouse playsets since its launch. The playset was named the No. 1 item in the ITPS (Infant/Toddler/Preschool) Supercategory in the U.S. last year by Circana.
“Fans around the world have embraced Gabby’s Dollhouse so enthusiastically, and we couldn’t be more excited about celebrating one million dollhouses sold,” says Shannon Vacca, Senior Vice President Franchise Strategy, Universal Products & Experiences
Additionally, Circana’s Retail Tracking Service deemed Gabby’s Dollhouse as the No. 2 preschool toys license in the U.S. and Australia and the No. 5 preschool toys property in the world.
Additional Milestones:
- The Gabby’s Dollhouse YouTube Channel surpassed 1 billion views.
- Spin Master’s Gabby’s Dollhouse App has over 23 million downloads. The app is available in 19 languages across 175 countries.
- The music of Gabby’s Dollhouse has surpassed more than 135 million streams with playlists available in 15 languages.
“There’s incredible excitement and momentum around Gabby’s Dollhouse,” Vacca adds. “The series brings to life key themes of imagination, friendship, and adventure, and this naturally extends into real-life play. We know there’s something really special about Gabby — with endless opportunities to surprise and delight fans through new content, engaging products, theme park events, innovative retail experiences, and more.”
New toys from Spin Master will roll out in August while LEGO and Crayola continue rolling out their Gabby’s Dollhouse-inspired products. Additionally, the brand continues to expand across publishing, home goods, food, tech, games, and more.
A global retail tour is beginning this summer in the UK and France before coming to the U.S. with stops at major retailers alongside theme park events.
