Just four months after nabbing the distribution rights to The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin, Henson Independent Properties (HIP) has released the series through Amazon Prime Video.
Completely remastered in HD, Alchemy II’s The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin was produced by DIC and Atkinson Film-Arts, and originally aired in syndication from 1986-87. The series was created in support of the original Teddy Ruxpin toy by Worlds of Wonder.
“The beloved Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin is as relevant as ever to today’s kids — a fantasy world of adventure, humor, and love,” says Claudia Scott-Hansen, SVP global distribution for the Jim Henson Co. “Teddy Ruxpin developed a keen and loyal following in the late eighties and early nineties, and now Amazon Prime will deliver this beautifully remastered HD series to audiences everywhere to engage a whole new base of fans.”
The 65-episode series follows Teddy Ruxpin and his best friend, Grubby, as they follow an ancient map that leads them to many adventures and confrontations with a variety of magical adversaries. All episodes are streaming now on Prime Video in more than 60 English-speaking stores around the world, including the U.S., Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, and Antarctica.
