The Insights Family is extending its data for the U.S. market with its first-ever Toys & Games Report.
Based on second quarter data and expected to be released each quarter going forward, the Toys & Games Report U.S. explores attitudes, behaviors, and consumption preferences for kids ages 3-5, 6-9. and 10-12 while highlighting trends and changes.
“It’s been an interesting quarter, with significant changes as the world returns to some form of normality,” says Sarah Riding, research and trends director at The Insights Family. “The Toys & Games Report U.S. shows a strong trend towards the popularity of traditional and well-known toys. In fact, year on year, Spider-Man action figures have doubled as a favorite toy, and demand for Barbie increased 42% on average for kids ages 3-12.”
The new report — available here — serves up detailed data on kids’ toy preferences, top licenses, and how TV, movies, video games, and streaming content are fueling sales.
