Women in Toys, Licensing, and Entertainment (WiT) has opened registration for its 9th annual WiT Empowerment Day. The event will take place on Sept. 19 at the Dallas Market Center in partnership with The Toy Association’s Preview and Holiday Market, as well as in collaboration with Walmart.
The event provides women inventors, entrepreneurs, and creators with exclusive access to connections and mentors within the toy, licensing, and consumer products industries. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet with top toy company product acquisition executives and Walmart buyers to pitch their products, receive valuable feedback, and be mentored by industry experts. Attendees will include Hasbro, Crayola, Melissa & Doug, Spin Master, Jazwares, VTech, TOMY, and others.
Event participants will also have the opportunity to attend the Inventor Relations Panel and Mentor Roundtables led by industry experts on a variety of topics, including intellectual property, digital content and advertising, licensing, deals, and negotiations.
To end Empowerment Day, participants can attend WiT’s Cocktails and Connections afterparty held in the 1st floor atrium. Ticket prices start at $45 for members who purchase in advance. Click here for more information and to purchase tickets.
New this year is the Empowerment Day Scholarship Program, which offers 10 women a $1,000 need-based scholarship to help cover travel costs to Dallas. The application deadline is July 20 and attendees can click here to apply.
Empowerment Day is open for free only for WiT members. To register for the event or join WiT, interested individuals can click here. Registration is open until Sept. 1.
