ZAG is teaming up with Institute Rafaël in Paris to provide kids with cancer care in a comforting environment.

Institute Rafaël was co-founded by Dr. Alain Toledano, who worked as a senior oncology doctor at the American Hospital of Paris, France in 2008. The organization focuses on a holistic approach to medicine, providing cancer patients with non-medical services designed to support them as they receive oncology treatment and look toward their futures.

Thanks to a new partnership with the ZAG Foundation, the charitable division of the animation studio responsible for the series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, Institute Rafaël will be devoting an entire floor to the free care of children with cancer.

It has been one of our biggest dreams at the ZAG Foundation to be able to provide support for children and their parents who are struggling with illness, and we are so proud that this project is going to be a reality in partnership with the tremendously accomplished Dr. Toledano and Institute Rafaël.

The floor will offer kids services such as psychotherapy, nutritional guidance, acupuncture, and massage. Kids will also have access to play therapy, art therapy, and music therapy, including activities that incorporate ZAG characters from brands such as Miraculous and Ghostforce.

“It is devastating for families when a child receives a life-threatening or terminal illness diagnosis, and an added burden is the financial cost,” Dr. Toledano says. “By partnering with the ZAG Foundation in this new initiative, we will not only be able to provide free holistic cancer care to hundreds of children, but also address issues of emotional health by offering opportunities for them to feel engaged, entertained, and purposeful as they start their healing process.”

ZAG’s previous efforts in the charitable world include a partnership with FEMA and the Ad Council. The three developed a PSA campaign featuring Ladybug and Cat Noir to increase awareness of emergency preparedness in children.

The new floor at Institute Rafaël is set to launch in 2025 at the Paris headquarters, with plans for locations in several other countries over the next five years.
