ZAG has signed a miraculous new agreement.
The independent animation studio is partnering with McDonald’s to launch a Miraculous Happy Meal Program throughout 40 European countries, including Germany, Spain, Italy, and Austria. The program will feature a line of sustainable premiums using materials only from recycled, renewable, or certified sources.
“This initiative fits perfectly with our sensitivity to and awareness of ecology and environmental protection, which will be reflected in ZAG’s soon-to-be established foundation, ZAG Forest,” says Hyde Schram, vice president of global partnerships, ZAG Play. “We are extremely proud that Ladybug and Cat Noir will represent the promotion with its important message of sustainability that will be delivered to millions of children across Europe.”
The McDonald’s Happy Meal Program will run across more than 6,000 restaurants across Europe from August to September, featuring ZAG’s flagship property Miraculous – Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. There are four Miraculous activity packs for kids to collect in the Happy Meal line-up, which encourage kids to unleash their own miraculous. The program will be promoted through in-store point-of-sale, exclusive packaging, a dedicated animated TV commercial, and a digital/social media campaign.
Additionally, ZAG and ON Kids & Family (Mediawan Group) collaborated with the international non-profit The Breteau Foundation to create a special episode of Miraculous – Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. This episode raises awareness about the global plastic crisis and is expected to be released in spring next year.
