Adora is launching an “all new” Adora this year. Adora has infused its brand with a new identity, packaging, website, and an assortment of products and price points for children of all ages.
The new brand extensions include 200 products with 70 new dolls and accessories, including 12-inch FabFairies, FlutterBabies, SnuggleTime Babies, and BathTime Babies. Adora’s current collections (PlayTime, GiggleTime, NurseryTime, and Adora Friends) have all been updated and refreshed with new features and a new look.
The new dolls debuted this week at the American International Toy Fair in New York.
Adora, the doll designer, developer, and marketer, has received four additional award recognitions since accepting the prestigious Dr. Toy’s “Best Classic Toys” award for its 20-inch toddler doll Oink, earlier this year. Nursery Time Babies, Playtime Babies, and Toddler Time Oink all received the DOTY Award, while Playtime Babies also won Parents’ Choice Award and The National Parenting Center Award. Adora’s 4-Ever Friends collection earned a TillyWig Award.

Charisma is launching a new play baby doll collection for children aged 1 and older, the Adora Playtime Dolls. The 12-inch Adora Playtime Dolls come in five skin tones and eye combinations. With lifelike features such as a silky smooth body, a bean bag-weighted bottom, and sculpted faces, the dolls can also be accessorized with a range of 12 accessory SKUs.
All Adora dolls are lightly scented with a fresh baby powder scent. The dolls were sculpted in the Adora studio and are hand-crafted; each face has been hand painted and each costume is individually sewn.
The collection was previewed with select buyers during the Toy Industry Association’s Fall Toy Preview at the Dallas World Trade Center, held October 4-7. The full line will be available to retailers starting at the Atlanta Gift Show, to be held January 12-19. Shipping to retailers will begin in late January.
Charisma Brands, LLC, has acquired Adora Doll, a global manufacturer and marketer of heirloom-quality dolls founded by David Lin and Frank Ren. Adora is a well recognized brand and is known for its baby dolls. Adora’s dolls are distributed worldwide including the United States, Europe, South America, and Russia and can be found in more than 1,500 retail outlets including toy, gift, department, and collectible stores.
Charisma is already shipping 2009 Adora product to customers and will introduce 2010 Adora designs at Idex and Toy Fair trade shows beginning in January. Adora’s customer service and sales administrator, Sandy Fawzi, will join the Charisma team and will continue in her role.
Adora joins other collectible Charisma brands Marie Osmond, Paradise Galleries, Kewpie, and Penny Brite.
