PlayChic Fashion Show at Chicago Toy & Game Week

CHITAGThe Chicago Toy & Game Week announced the fourth annual PlayChic Fashion Show will take place on November 19 at the Alhambra Palace at 7 p.m. Fashion designers Peach Carr and Michelle Tan will show off their toy-inspired designs at this year’s show. The PlayChic Fashion Show allows fashion designers to work with toy and game brands that will be featured at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair.

Tenth Chicago Toy & Game Fair Sets Attendance Records

The 10th anniversary Chicago Toy & Game Fair continued its tradition as the nation’s largest public play event, attracting more than 25,000 people to Navy Pier on the weekend before Thanksgiving. Toy & Game Industry Luminaries Celebrate Inventors at Annual Industry Gala

As part of the Chicago Toy & Game Week, industry leaders from 18 countries gathered at the Chicago Field Museum of Natural History for the 5th Annual Toy and Game Inventors Awards, known as “The TAGIEs,” to honor the creators of some of the world’s best known playthings.

Nearly 400 industry movers-and-shakers gathered for the event, at which famed inventor Bruce Lund gave a keynote address after being introduced by a full-sized marching band. Kevin Harrington, chairman of As Seen On TV, Inc., and “Shark Investor” on the show Shark Tank was also in attendance to present the Young Inventor of the Year Award.  [Read more...]
