HIA and Urban Expositions to Take Over Management, Production of Halloween & Party Expo

The Halloween Industry Association (HIA) and Urban Expositions will acquire Halloween & Party Expo from its current owners, H&P Expo LLC. Scheduled for February 6 to 9 at the New Orleans Convention Center, the event will be operated by H&P Expo. HIA and Urban Expositions will take over the event immediately following next year’s edition.

Under the new partnership, Urban Expositions will be responsible for managing all aspects of the event including sales, operations, marketing, and promotion with guidance and expertise provided by HIA. Urban Expositions and HIA will focus their efforts on increasing awareness of the event, expanding the selection of the product mix and growing the show into an internationally recognized event for the Halloween industry.

Future editions of Halloween & Party Expo will also take place in New Orleans, with dates of January 20 to 23, 2016; and January 14 to 17, 2017.

Say “Yes” to the 2013 Halloween & Party Expo

The Halloween & Party Expo will be held from January 19 to 22 in Houston. The only truly global tradeshow in the party supplies, costume, and Halloween-products industry, the Expo is home to more than 6,500 buyers and 350 exhibitors from 44-plus countries and territories.

The four-day show, which includes more than 1,400 booths covering 600,000 square feet of space, showcases the industry’s top manufacturers and distributors in three distinct areas: Party, Sexy Costume, and Halloween. It is designed to create a fun, productive, and interesting order-writing environment for everyone in attendance.

Special guest stars also will be on hand for an extra thrill. They include celebrity costume designer Chris March, of Bravo’s Mad Fashion and Project Runway, who will be showcasing his outlandish creations, and pumpkin-carving master Ray Villafane, who will wow the audience with his carving demos.

The famous Halloween Costume Style Show returns and will feature 100 of the hottest new costumes and licenses. Afterward, guests can attend the Saturday Night After-Party at Shark Bar in downtown Houston to mingle with peers and exhibitors in a lively atmosphere.
