LeapFrog Debuts the Latest Letter Factory Adventures Video, Counting on Lemonade

LeapFrog-logoLeapFrog Enterprises Inc. and Lionsgate have released LeapFrog Letter Factory Adventures: Counting on Lemonade, the second full-length learning program in the Letter Factory Adventures animated series. It features state of the art CGI animation with a new generation of the popular frog characters made famous in the original Letter Factory programs.

In addition to the four learning programs, LeapFrog’s new frogs will star in future products, including the new LeapFrog Learning Library game, Letter Factory Rainforest Adventures, and games in the Learning Library of the LeapTV educational active video game system.

LeapFrog Letter Factory Adventures: Counting on Lemonade is available for download from the LeapFrog App Center on DVD and Digital HD.

Toy Insider Experts Name Top Holiday Toys in Their Hot 20 and Top Tech 12 Lists

The Hot 20 and the Top Tech 12 are the kick-off sections of the Toy Insider holiday gift guide, which will appear in the November issue of Woman’s Day magazine, as well as www.toyinsider.com. The guide is broken down by age group (0-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9+) with in-depth descriptions and a unique skill key of developmental needs and interests for each toy.

LeapFrog Adds VP of Sales and VP of Platform Marketing

LEAPFROG ENTERPRISES LOGOLeapFrog Enterprises Inc. recently added two executives: Dan Burns and Scott A. Steinberg.

Burns joins LeapFrog as vice president of sales. In his new role, Burns will lead LeapFrog’s efforts to drive sales of the company’s award-winning products, including the recently unveiled LeapTV active video gaming system, the new LeapBand activity tracker, and more.

Prior to joining LeapFrog, Burns was vice president of sales at VTech Electronics for 10 years, where he drove record sales revenue and profit, set the strategy for global brand and product development efforts, and led retail merchandising initiatives for all sales accounts. He previously held executive sales positions at Radio Flyer Corporation and Hedstrom Corporation, as well as management positions at Hasbro and Kolcraft. [Read more...]

LeapFrog Introduces LeapTV Video Gaming System

LeapTVLeapFrog Enterprises Inc. has unveiled its first educational, active video gaming system, LeapTV, which is designed specifically for children ages 3 to 8 years old. This new console system combines activity and movement with LeapFrog’s educational curriculum.

LeapTV features a transforming gaming controller that has been specifically designed for children’s small hands and limited dexterity. In its regular configuration, it enables classic gameplay, but with the press of a button it easily transforms into a motion controller and LED pointer controller. The LeapTV system also features a motion-sensing camera, which puts a child directly in the game, as well as a design that integrates into most homes.

The LeapTV video game system puts learning into motion with three ways to play: body motion, pointer play, and classic control. For body motion, the motion-sensing camera captures a child’s moves and puts them into the game as they explore activities like dance and martial arts. For pointer play, the controller transforms into a pointer with a simple twist and lets kids snap jungle vines, slice through coconuts, swing from building to building and more. [Read more...]
