Plastic Meatball is celebrating “420” with the first offering from its View Askewniverse collection, celebrating the stories and characters of filmmaker Kevin Smith‘s cinematic universe.

Bluntman & Chronic, a dynamic-ish duo that first appeared in live action in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001), kick off the range when preorders go live today at 2 p.m. PT on the Plastic Meatball website. The Toy Book and our sister publication, The Pop Insider, have your first look at the new figures.

Plastic Meatball has been sharing sneak peeks of its View Askewniverse line since last fall when the company inked a deal to launch action figures, apparel, housewares, and more inspired by Smith’s career and this year’s 30th anniversary of the film that started it all: Clerks (1994). Additional figures include Jay & Silent Bob and Mooby the Golden Calf.

“Kevin and his team have been amazing to work with, and we’re stoked for the merch program we’re developing with them,” says Plastic Meatball Founder Mark Morse.

As for Bluntman & Chronic, their retro stylings are a callback to the action figures that lined the pegs at toy stores during the era in which Smith’s career began.

“These are designed in that slightly more chunky figure style you’d expect from the late 90s/early 00s, but we couldn’t resist the urge to give Bluntman a telescoping Bong Saber that emerges from his right arm as an homage to the original Kenner Star Wars run,” Morse says.

The figures have an MSRP of $14.99 each and are expected to ship this fall.
