Mattel‘s American Girl brand is expanding into the world of retail even further with a new flagship store in Los Angeles’ Westfield Century City. The store will officially open its doors this Saturday, and offers a retail experience with American Girl 18-inch dolls and accessories as well as other activities for visiting guests.
The new store will have American Girl‘s signature dolls, accessories, clothes, and books. But this new location isn’t just for shopping. The two-level store has the American Girl Cafe, offering brunch, lunch, and tea time seatings. The cafe has private room options for celebrating birthdays and other special occasions as well as a Berry Bar with desserts.
Kids can also visit the Dolled Up Salon to match their favorite doll with hairstyles, mini manicures, and even ear-piercing options. The salon services both dolls and kids, and takes reservations in advance with special packages that allow for personalization.
To celebrate the opening, American Girl is donating $10,000 to UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital and offering guests the opportunity to make their own donations in the store.
The new American Girl store location is opening this Saturday, Sept. 9, at 10 a.m. PT. Guests who visit during the grand opening weekend will have the chance to participate in giveaways with items like American Girl posters and books. Reservations for dining, the salon, and parties can be made on the official webpage.
