Arcade1Up is plotting an expansion of its business in the U.S. and around the world.
A trio of new players from the consumer electronics industry has entered the game with Tastemakers’ retro home arcade business while an experienced player has leveled up to a new role.
Eric Van Kannel, Michael Fisher, and Kuntha Kith have been hired as director of digital sales, sales manager, and director of business planning, respectively. The trio will report to Chris Cardenas, vice president of sales and marketing.
“Our business has really taken off over the last several years and, as we head into a new year, adding these key new hires to round out our team was an essential step to supporting that growth,” Cardenas says.
Over the past four years, Arcade1Up has created an extensive range of home arcade cabinets in several sizes in addition to its cocktail table range, Countercades, and the Infinity Game Table. The company also produces accessories such as stools and game room decor.
Van Kannel and Kith join the company from TCL where they served as director of e-commerce sales and director of business planning, respectively. Fisher comes to Arcade1Up from Bose Corp.
David McIntosh has worked with Arcade1Up since its launch in 2018, first on the agency side for ChizComm Ltd, and later as director of marketing and communications at Tastemakers. McIntosh has been promoted to vice president, retailer marketing.
In his new role, McIntosh plans to guide Arcade1Up’s new focus on reaching consumers through retailer-specific marketing initiatives.
Arcade1Up recently launched its NFL Blitz Legends Home Arcade Game and is planning to roll out a fresh assortment of home arcade games and other game room products in 2023.
