Barnes & Noble will host a LEGO Architecture Fan Build event in select locations at 6 p.m. on March 9.
Builders of all ages will take part in the construction of the LEGO Architecture San Francisco Skyline set (21043), a 565-piece depiction of famous Bay-area landmarks. The set includes the famous “painted ladies” buildings, 555 California Street, the Transamerica Pyramid, Salesforce Tower, Coit Tower, Fort Point, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Alcatraz Island.
The popular set also features a blue-tiled baseplate depicting the Golden Gate strait. An included booklet contains details about the set’s designer, along with the history and architecture of each attraction.
Once the fan build is complete, the LEGO Architecture San Francisco Skyline set will be used as a store display.
Barnes & Noble increased shelf space for LEGO sets in recent years, with a fluid assortment of sets ranging from preschool (Duplo) to those for advanced builders and collectors (Creator and Architecture).
