Pokémon, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mickey Mouse, and other iconic characters and brands have been turned into Squishmallows since the plush brand skyrocketed into popularity. Now, Berkshire Hathaway’s Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger are joining the collection.
The two Squishmallows debuted at Berkshire Hathaway’s annual meeting on Friday and were sold exclusively at the Berkshire Hathaway Festival. Each plush features the two iconic investors with a splash of personality. Buffett’s Squishmallow features him holding an ice cream bar while Munger’s has him holding a book of quotes from Benjamin Franklin.
Berkshire Hathaway acquired Jazwares’ owner, Alleghany Corp., in March for $11.6 billion. Jazwares is one of the fastest-growing toymakers in the country, making more than $1 billion in sales from Squishmallows and other brands including Fortnite and Pokémon.
Buffett first stepped into kids’ entertainment with Warren Buffett’s Secret Millionaires Club, an animated series that premiered in 2011. Berkshire Hathaway has also acquired Oriental Trading Co., Mindware, and Peaceable Kingdom.
