BRANDmate, a B2B networking event hosted by BRANDmate GmbH, will be held from June 25-26 at the former coal mine Zeche Zollverein in Essen. One of the new additions to the event will be Retail Day, held on June 26 in collaboration with Licensing International Germany. Retail Day will focus on retailers with exclusive round-table discussions and presentations.

The day will begin with an opening presentation by Ute Strauss, Managing Director of Licensing International Germany, entitled “The Power of Licensing: How Brand Licensing Makes a Difference”, where she will showcase marketing data to demonstrate the importance of the day’s theming. This will be followed by a keynote address from retail consultant Frank Rehme and a presentation from market researchers Lena Gabold and Luca Salehi (Appinio), where they use a special BRANDmate-commissioned study to show what leads to licensing success. Then Jakob Neise (wyrld) will speak on social commerce while introducing his new immersive social retail store. Afterwards, Mogens Link Schmidt (Søstrene Grene) will discuss what determines the feel-good factor in retail in the “Retail for the Senses” presentation.

The afternoon will start with the first exclusive round-table session, which will only be open to registered ticket holders in the retail trade. Participants will discuss key issues in four 30-minute sessions with experienced experts, including Prof. Dr. Carsten Kortum (DHBW—Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg) and Florian Berger (Donkey Products), and will examine ways to grow with new licensing strategies and opportunities.
